More Randomness

Have you ever been completely swallowed up by a song? I mean, have you ever stumbled across a song, maybe you've heard it a million times before but you've never really heard it, and then one day, you suddenly realize that the singer/song writer has completely captured your life?

I am totally in love with David Gray's, Babylon. I listen to it over and over in the car, and sing it in my head constantly. It's like it was written just for me, to explain certain events in my life, and reassure me that I'm not the only one who's gone through Babylon-like scenerios. I absolutely love it.

Also, if I were a chess piece I would be the castle-thingy-ma-boob, cause it's chubby (like moi, a full-figured piece), and it has that fun extra trick, what with the trading places with the king and all (my chess isn't up to snuff so I don't know all the tres impressive "official" names).

Also, I would like to have babies with Ryan Gosling. Yes, that's right, babies. Unbelievable. I want him to make out with me in the rain. I bet he smells really good. Hands. Arms. Beard. Yummy. All of it please. Although sometimes his nostrils have too much of the sticky-uppy thing going on, but I can look past it, as long as he acts like Noah from The Notebook all the time, all sexy-like and wood carpenter-y. Oh me. Oh my.

Also... Yea! Sonya has joined the group! Wahoo! Wahoo! Wahoo! It's a full on party all the time all the time in blog-a-go-go-land.

P.S. Sorry you had to sit through my little female swoon, Warren. I know you've just puked a little in you mouth over all the Ryan/Noah comments, but feel free to voice your own fmale celebrity lusts.

Warren here,
I must confess that I did not puke at the swoon but was only perplexed. Is the posted picture the object of the swoon, or are you into portraits of the institutionalized, Amanda?
If I was a chess piece I would be a pawn. Why? Because I'm married. I'm sure Sonya will back me up in saying that her husband would also be a pawn since she (and Wolf, of course) are the queens in this chess game of life. I like the pawn reaching the end of the board and sacrificing to resurrect a better piece, too. A neat trick.
Celebrity lusts? Me? With my perfect wife, I don't know what you're talking about.

Ahh . . . kids I love the sweetness of Blog addiction. Now, while I accept with sincere appreciation the suggestion that I am a queen in the chess game of life, I really want to be the knight, cuz s/he gets to ride a horse all day long.

I too am confused by Amanda's luscious rant on said singing sensation. Is it the guy in the picture? Is there a beard somewhere I can't see (he heh)? Why is he ripping his shirt off with his teeth?

As for songs taking over my life . . . I've been cursed by the repetitive refrain of the classic 1967 cartoon, Spiderman, for the last week. Just a refresher for all of you:

Spiderman, Spiderman,
Does whatever a spider can,
Spins a web, any size
Catches thieves, just like flies
Look out, here comes the Spiderman

Is he strong? Listen Bud,
He's got radioactive blood,
Can he swing from a thread?
Take a look overhead,
Hey there . . . there goes the spiderman

I know the rest too, but I'm too ashamed to go on.

Cheers,
Sonya

Fancy wife? that would be me. Glad to hear the spiderman theme song in my head again. It has been a while.
Riding all day long, eh? Well who wouldn't want that.
see you later ladies and... more ladies I guess. Excellent(a la Mr. Burns)
"Release the hounds, Smithers."
"...Too late sir."
"Smithers, you disgust me."

(Hey Sonya!) Okay, my favourite cartoon theme song is from the 1966 classic "The Incredible Hulk":

"Doc Bruce Banner
Pelted by gamma rays
Turned into the Hulk
Ain't he unglamourous [pronounced unglamourate]

"Wreckin' the town with the
Power of a bull
Ain't no monster cause
Who is that loveable?
The ever-lovin' hulk!
(HULK! HULK!)"

You can hear the song here. It's pretty awesome yet hideous. One day I was looking for the lyrics to this song on the web (they're undiscernable) and found somebody who thought it was: "Ain't no monster clown who is that loveable." Monster clowns are the best clowns.
